Betsy served as Director of Development for Westchester Children’s Association (WCA) for over ten years. She led WCA’s five-year Centennial Campaign, exceeding the goal for this ambitious project, which virtually doubled the organization’s operating budget. By adding more formal structure to WCA’s fundraising efforts and instituting more effective development procedures that contributed significantly to the growth of the organization, she played a critical role in growing the organization. She was named the 2017 Fundraiser of the Year by the Hudson Valley Association of Development Officers. Betsy also served as president of the Foundation for Public Education in White Plains, where donations increased during her tenure by 89%. Before entering the world of development, Betsy founded and managed a successful software training business. She earned master certification in Microsoft Office; her computer skills are a valuable asset to critical organization required in fundraising.

How can Peter, Betsy and the Heller Group Team help you? A sample engagement:

Heller Fundraising Group brings decades of experience and accomplishment to the non-profit table. Our tagline line is: Your Aspirations, Funded. Our firm advises nonprofits on powerful fundraising strategies. And we stick with you every step of the way.

In the initial 10-20 hour consultation, we will work with you to assess your fundraising program and analyze your staff’s capacity for raising funds effectively. We will strategize with you to develop a road map of next steps, and “hold your hand” for your first three steps. For instance, we will work with you on strategies for getting organized, scheduling your meetings, and meeting with donors – including training on how to “make the ask.” Your Aspirations, Funded!
